Mons is the headquarters of "Digital Innovation Valley" which hosts Google and Microsoft and houses the "Initialis" science park (undergoing full expansion) and is still developing strongly around the "Grands Prés" site. It also invests in scientific innovation, as is evidenced by the Universities (Umons) and research centres dotted over its territory.
